Cards can be obtained from a number of people that have keys and have been trained on the skate sharpener. These cards will be filled out with the player's name and placed into the card box.
- Procedure is as follows: Players may drop off their skates in the skate sharpening room and leave them on the shelf that is labeled "UNDONE". Player MUST leave their name on a slip of paper and INSIDE the skates. The volunteer that does the sharpening will NOT sharpen a pair of skates that does not have a name on it. No exceptions to this. The volunteer will then check to see if there is a card in the box indicating if the player has unlimited sharpening or not. The volunteers that are donating their time to sharpen your skates are not going to guess who's skates are there or if you have paid or not.
- If player does not have a card, they can leave their skates the same way, only the slip of paper must be accompanied by $3.00. If the player does not have a card, and leaves their skates, but no money, they will not be sharpened.
- Frequency -- Most experts recommend skates be sharpened after 4 to 6 hours of use. If your player skates on outside ice, they should be sharpened before the next practice. Same if skating on the lake. Each player will develop their own preferences. Sharp skates make a difference and the player will notice it.
- Bottom line is if you haven't paid up front, the skates won't get sharpened. This pricing is very reasonable when compared to in past years you received ten punches for $30. Take advantage of this deal!
