Coaches Information Page

All Coaches must complete the following:

Save Your Receipts: Rostered coaches are eligible to be reimbursed by PRAHA for their mandatory training and registration expenses. Receipts must be submitted to the Treasurer for reimbursement.

1. Register at USA Hockey - Coaches Registration

(Must be completed before you can go on the ice)

Send a copy of Registration Confirmation to the PRAHA Registrar, Tera Garlie at teragarlie@gmail.com.

2. Complete SafeSport Training  

(Must be completed before you get on the ice)

Please note you will need your new USA Hockey confirmation number to access the SafeSport training and ensure it's connected to your membership. Save a copy of your completion certificate for your records.

3. Complete a Background Check  

(Only required every other year. Must be completed before you can go on the ice)

4. Complete Age-Appropriate Modules 

(Must be completed before team practices begin)

Each coach must complete the USA Hockey age module for the age group he/she is coaching this season. To register and begin the age module, click here.

5. Coach Education Program (CEP) Clinic:

(Must be completed by Dec. 31st)

Coaches must be CEP certified according to USA Hockey's coaching requirements. For an outline of those requirements, click here

Student Coach Information

Must be between 13 and 17 years of age to qualify

Concussion Reporting & Medical Clearance Form

A head coach or coach in charge of any team activity who has knowledge of a player sustaining a concussion or exhibiting concussion type symptoms shall complete a Minnesota Hockey Concussion Reporting and Return to Play form relating to the injury and ensure that the form is delivered to the team manager within 48 hours of receipt of information that a player sustained a concussion or exhibited concussion type symptoms. The team manager shall provide a copy of the report to the player’s parent or legal guardian and association president or other delegated representative tasked with monitoring reports under this rule. Until the completed Return to Play portion of the form is received by the team manager or coach, the coach and team manager shall ensure that the player does not participate in any team physical activities.
