Season Overview

The Mite/8U and Mini-Mite/6U seasons typically begin in mid-October and run through February. The teams skate two to three times per week.

The association strives to provide these age groups with consistent ice times for practices. Last season, the teams had practices on Monday at 6:00 pm, Saturday at 10:00 am and occasional practices on Thursday at 6:00 pm. Practices are one hour in length with a focus on teaching players the basic skills of the game with an emphasis on skating, puck control and having FUN!

After a few weeks of practices, the association will divide all players at these age groups into teams based on age and current skill levels for the purpose of participating in games against surrounding communities.

The majority of games will take place against the nearest surrounding communities including Bagley, Bemidji, Detroit Lakes, Wadena and Walker. Teams will participate in approximately 4-7 game days with 2-3 games on each of those days over the course of the season.
