What is PAAS Program: (Panther Academic All Stars) Is a program that encourages, supports and rewards youth hockey players who commit themselves to their education while enjoying the sport of hockey.  It is designed to encourage student athletes to maintain good grades while participating in youth hockey, and recognize those who do!

Goal: The goal of PAAS is to increase awareness among hockey players that performance in the classroom is more important in life than performance on the ice.

Who can participate: All youth hockey members (Mites-Bantam) who maintain a 3.0 GPA or above for at least 2 trimesters  (If you are not sure of your child's GPA, feel free to submit their report card and I will use the formula guide to check, and will let you know!)

How can parents help:  Keep reminding players about the importance of school and how PAAS will recognize their performance.  Remind them that hockey is not a destination in life, just part of the journey!

Each qualifying PAAS participant will receive a certificate, a goodie bag and a change for prize drawings at the spaghetti dinner!  Past prizes have included free hockey registration for the next year, hockey clothing, sticks, equipment and movie passes!

** I will not be accepting report cards by text message this year as it is too difficult to track and often to hard to print/read!
